At the beginning of this year, Breonna Taylor was shot by the police 8 times in her home. The black community was outraged by the actions of the police in Louisville, Kentucky. Several months later, a police officer, Brett Hankison that was involved in this shooting was fired. He was indicted for criminal charges but not Breonna's death.However no charges was announced for the other two police officers who were involved in the shooting. Once again, the community was outraged and begin to protest. "Defund the police" is starting to be the slogan for injustice in the black community. It's sad that we are in a new decade but still dealing with the same issues. One day Martin's dream will come true.
