Just when you thought this mess couldn’t get any messier, the entire Rochester Police Command Staff retired or stepped down, leaving Mayor Warren looking like a deer in headlights.
Warren’s announcement that she had no idea Chief La’Ron Singletary planned to retire is no surprise to us. Warren emphatically claimed Singletary deceived her in regards to Daniel Prude’s death.
Now, the chief and several others are leaving the mayor to drown in a sea of lies. Singletary stated he would retire at the end of the month. His departure is followed by the retirement of Deputy Chief Joseph Morabito and Commander Fabian Rivera. Deputy Chief Mark Simmons and Commander Henry Favor are returning to the rank of lieutenant.
Warren stated, she does not know who will be in charge of RPD after this announcement. Maybe they should employ a few protesters to shake up things a little more.🤷🏽♀️
