Wednesday afternoon, Monroe County Legislator Sabrina Lamar blasted Fairport's Chief of Police Samuel Farina on Facebook. Lamar posted, "Chief Samuel Farina, of the Fairport PD, said last night during the Monroe County Legislator Meeting that y'all need to stop focusing on the "few' that were killed by law enforcement and focus on the 10's of thousands who weren't!"
The conversation erupted after Monroe County Legislator Rachel Barnhart asked Farina "Maybe we need to come up with more tools. I think that's kind of a big takeaway that I'm hearing right now..." She continues, What are those tools? And do we have them..." Was Farina's response misinterpreted, or should he be canceled?
