Rome is a city I wanted to travel along with Paris, like a travel package. I remember in grade school learning about the Colosseum and Pantheon. I watched Eat.Pray.Love with Julia Roberts and went to Italy. It made me want to update my passport and start traveling again.
Rome is known as a world fashion capital. Fashion houses such as Valentino, Bulgari, Fendi, Laura Biagotti, Brioni and Renato Balestra are in the city with headquartered or founded. Major label like Chantel, Prada, Dolce & Gabbana, Armani and Versace have boutiques in Rome. Rome is the fourth most important center for fashion in the world according to the 2009 Global Language Monitor after Milan, New York and Paris and before London.
Rome is also known as a center of high-cuisine. What we call spaghetti they called carbonara. Carbonara is an Italian pasta dish from Rome made with eggs hard cheese, guanciale and black pepper.
