I believe that very few of us have heard of the island of Märket, which is located in the Baltic Sea and has an area of only three hectares. Of course, there is nothing special about it, but this island has no inhabitants, and the only human creation on it is a lighthouse. It is nothing special either, however, this small island is special in that, it is the smallest area owned by the two countries. Namely, one half of the island belongs to Finland and the other to Sweden, so it is divided because the border crosses there. Just because these two countries are in two time zones, and the island is also divided into two time zones.
What is specific about Märket Island?
