Star Wars fan made giant R2-D2

German professor Hubert Zitt, at the Zweibrücken University of Applied Sciences, known for his love, dedication and lectures on Stars and Star Wars, came up with one strange and unique idea. He, with the help of a few people, turned the Zweibrück Observatory of the Natural Science Association into a gigantic R2-D2.

The professor completed this project in September 2018, along with father-in-law Horst Helle, the master painter Klaus Ruffing and several assisting students. This, of course, aroused great enthusiasm for Star Wars fans everywhere in the world. This is not the first such redesigned observatory because it is also modeled on R2-D2 and has been redesigned in Minessota since 2010.
