It should be interesting to see who will win the NBA championship. The Los Angeles Lakers look like they have the best chance to win the trophy but you have to remember that the Los Angeles Clippers beat them in a head to head matchup in the beginning of the season.
The matchup between Kawhi Leonard and LeBron James will be one to watch. Right now it looks like those two players are the top two players in the league (Giannis Antetokounmpo might have something to say about that). Those two have had great battles in the finals already and the playoff matchup should be one to watch.
In the West, it looks like there is a changing of the guard. After the Houston Rockets, there is no team that seems that they could challenge the Clippers or Lakers. Year in and year out dominant teams like the Golden State Warriors and San Antonio Spurs are at the bottom of the conference and it looks like things will be different from here on out.
In the East, the Philadelphia 76ers and Milwaukee Bucks are the teams to beat in that conference. In terms of talent, nobody should be able to handle those two teams in a seven-game series in the playoffs. The Boston Celtics have looked good but the Sixers beat them easily in the first game of the season.
The Bucks lost to the Celtics in their head to head matchup but Milwaukee beat them easily in the second round of the playoffs last year and they should be able to figure it out this season.
In an interesting matchup with the Toronto Raptors, the 76ers lost the game but Embiid did not score a point. That will not happen in the playoffs. The Sixers will figure out the matchup between him and Marc Gasol and they will eventually win that series if the teams face off.
The Milwaukee Bucks have the best player in the conference in Antetokounmpo and when you have the best player anything can happen. In addition, the Bucks still have a bad taste in their mouths after they lost to the Raptors in the Eastern Conference Finals.
With the league wide open in terms of competition that makes it fun to see who will come out on top. Last year we got a surprise when the Raptors won the championship. This year will LeBron win his fourth NBA title? Will Kawhi Leonard make it three rings with three different teams? Will Antetokounmpo win his first ring after winning MVP last year? Will the Philadelphia 76ers conquer the playoff woes that haunted them during the offseason? It will be up to us to tune in to the reality tv show that is the NBA.
