Love Island star Caroline Flack arrested

Memes have broken out after Caroline Flack was arrested and charged with beating. Memes have started to spread across the internet after Caroline Flack's assault arrest. Many of the viral posts speculate Caroline, 40, will be replaced as Love Island host after Daily Star Online exclusively revealed she was arrested this week. However, a representative of Love Island has declined to comment on the speculation.


One of the memes was of a guy punching a TV which was captioned: "Caroline Flack watching Love Island without her in it."

While another posted a video which read: "I'll be over here waiting for Maya Jama to replace Caroline Flack."


Caroline was been arrested and charged with beating following a bust-up at the home she shares with her tennis star boyfriend Lewis Burton, 27.

Six police cars were pictured outside Caroline's London home in the early hours of yesterday after police said they were called to a 'domestic disturbance'.


A man, believed to be Flack's 27-year-old boyfriend Lewis Burton, was treated for injuries. Eye-witnesses who watched the 5 am drama unfold in the busy London street said they heard Mr Burton call out as cops escorted him to waiting car: 'Bruv, I was normal until I met her.'


A Met Police spokesman said: "Caroline Flack, 40, of Islington was charged on Friday, 13 December with assault by beating. She will appear on bail at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 23 December.


"This follows an incident at approximately 05:25 hrs on Thursday, 12 December after reports of a man being assaulted. He was not seriously injured."


The man was treated by paramedics and a London Ambulance Service spokesman said:"We were called yesterday (Thursday 12 December) at 5.28am to reports of a person unwell in Islington.


"We sent an ambulance to the scene and took a person to hospital."


It is not known which hospital he was taken to or if the injured man has since been released.


Police confirmed the had "sustained injuries". The spokesman added: "Officers attended along with the London Ambulance Service.


"A man sustained injuries, which are not thought to be serious.


"A woman was arrested at the location on suspicion of actual bodily harm."


An eyewitness said: "There have been police outside since 5.30 am and [Caroline's] boyfriend Lewis Burton has been taken away.


"There were six police cars including a van. I thought a criminal had escaped but then saw them running into her house.


"They were in there for over two hours."


Caroline's spokesman was unavailable for comment when contacted by Daily Star Online.
