Kanye West is known for continually pushing the mould, so it came as no surprise that he rocked up to an event in an all-silver outfit (face paint included).
On Sunday afternoon, the rapper showed up to his self-penned opera covered all over in silver body paint.
Co-ordinating with his Tin Man-inspired look, Kim Kardashian's hubby wore a silver cape, trousers, socks and Yeezy mules, and fashioned a painted head and hands.
He was spotted wearing the bizarre outfit when he arrived at his new opera, Mary, which was part of Art Basel festival in Miami over the weekend.
While fans thought he was paying homage to the classic Wizard of Oz character, the silver get-up was actually one of the show's costumes.
His all-singing event, Mary, follows the classic Christmas nativity play – but Kanye being Kanye features a modern spin on the biblical story.
The show includes the musician's older works, including tracks such as Love Lockdown and Can’t Tell Me Nothing.
Alongside classic Kanye songs, the performed also featured well-loved Christmas carols including O Holy Night and Drummer Boy.
Not happy with a classic stage, the concert was set on a floating barge and began an hour late.
As soon as his silver costume his the internet, a barrage of comments from confused fans soon began to circulate.
"If Kanye West doesn’t play the Silver Surfer in a Marvel movie I don’t wanna see it," one wrote.
Another playfully put: "One day people will look back on Kanye West's unapologetic use of "Silver Face" and discuss how insensitive humans used to be towards the feelings of robots."
While a third penned: "I saw all the pictures of Kanye West painted completely silver and I can't get over how funny they are."
