According to the United Nations Refugee Agency, during 2018, more than 35,000 people were forced to leave their homes every day. That's a world record of 71 million people, or one person every two seconds.
The cause is devastating wars, frequent conflicts of ethnic groups, violence, crime. In the last ten years, the number of displaced persons has doubled, primarily because of the devastating wars in Syria and Iraq. Conflicts in Congo, Yemen, South Sudan, as well as a large flow of refugees from Myanmar and Bangladesh have also had a significant impact on this humanitarian disaster. For a more picturesque view, one in every 110 people in the world has been displaced. Or the total number of refugees is greater than, say, the population of Colombia.
The conclusion is that world insanity is greater than ever, and as usual, innocent people are suffering, who have nothing to do with the games of the world powers. Above all, innocent children are suffering, who do not get to understand the games of the world's powerful, but unfortunately, very early on, they realised the cruelty of life, much earlier than they should.
