"Man is least himself when he talks in his own person. Give him a mask, and he will tell you the truth."
It's time for the masks. They say we will wear masks even after the pandemic is over, because nothing will be the same again, whatever that means. We have seen how different improvisations of ordinary people's masks look like in everyday life. These are artistically inspired here and go beyond the needs of a pandemic, they were known before. If we recall the words of Oscar Wilde, it seems that masks have always been needed. It's just a matter of epoch, level of ethics, what one wants to say, or simply a matter of the spirit of the times.
Masks have obviously always been a means of expression and communication, now this has become commonplace, where everyone has something more than fifteen minutes of fame, that is, to show their personal creation.
The ones shown here remind us that we did not take the masks before so seriously and maybe we needed to.
